WE vs WS

BATTLE REPORT

White Scars ( Sigis ) vs. Worldeaters ( Jas )
Army Build: 1000 pts.
Mission: Capture and Control...the center
Result: Draw

Special mention to DPaul from the south who graced the game.

" Blind Fury"

Sigis was happy with the support the guys had given for the supplying the terrains for the up coming tourney so I let him had his hand on the table and threw them in the random way.
The 4x4 table was actually crowded with the terrains. LOL.
We started of with the first turns chasing each other and avoiding the terrains for our vehicles. Until at the third turn our forces finally engaged in a short firefight and a round of blurry melee. I still not over with my games last saturday so I bent my rage at Sigis's SMBikers like a mad man.
In the end I managed to wipeout his forces and manage to lose some men which made my day. But was so blood crazed I forgot the objective at hand.
Sigis was laughing to see how blind I was for blood that day.
A few more tweak at my army and more game I'll get the hang of it and prove that I'm worthy of Khorne's Blessing.

Warhammer 40K Graphic Novels

A recent discovery of mine... Warhammer 40K graphic novels by Boom! Studios (of course, licensed by GW). Excuse to anyone there for my giddyness, if this is already old news to you.

Above are covers of the current in print collections, which are also available in single comic book issues. I have viewed the previews, art looks good.

I will be contacting my friendly neighborhood comic book shop and check if I can get these... will post updates here.

Update#1, May 15, 2009 - Was able to get myself a copy of Exterminatus just an hour ago. The art (hand drawn like other comics), nice quality paper, coloured, story looks ok as well per my quickie browse :P Printed price is $18, was able to get my copy for about 600 pesos (sale in Galleria). For now I can say that the quality would probably be consistent for the other books, also a must have for 40K fans... I will definitely place an order for the rest soon.

Bloody Blood Ravens

Battle Report

April 28, 2009
Blood Ravens (Sigis) vs. Worldeaters (Jas)
Army Build: 1000points
Mission: Annihilation
Deployment: Dawn of War
Results: Kill points 1-5 Jas Wins

“ Blood( Ravens) for the Blood God!!!”

Jas has initiative. Sigis patiently waited for the enemy from the outpost on first two turns. At turn three, the Rhinos move in popping out smoke to obscure any firing from the Blood Ravens which eventually broke cover for their initial strike. Melta shots at the rhinos and Daemon Prince were a drag for Sigis. No hits and one glancing hit ignored. (Praise be Khorne!) Berserkers began to disembark from their transport. Havoc launchers firing but the Blood Raven Bikers were fast. Raptors manages to tie one squad and wiped them out. The Daemon Prince smite aside an Attack Bike. Sigis on his turn came the Epistolary Librarian and cast Force Dome but failed and opt to use Avenger power to kill 3 Berserkers with the flanking bike squadd contributing another kill. The Raptors were gunned down to a man. The Daemon Prince took a shot from the Attack Bike and was wounded. In assault Librarian felled Berserkers but was crushed by the Skull Champion’s Power Fist. At the run of the last turn the Khorne Army were roaring victoriously Sigis tried to blast the Rhino with the lone Skull Champion but failed. Nice game bro.

Blood Ravens (Sigis) vs Lamenters (Jas)
Army Build: 1000 points
Mission: Sieze Ground (3Objectives)
Deployment: Pitched Battle
Results: 0-1 Sigis Wins

“ Battle Brothers! Test your might! “

First turn Sigis cast Force Dome and Blood Raven Bikers roared their engines with guns ready. The Attack bike punched a hole on the lone Rhino blasting it to smithereens and Jas failed most of his saves for the passengers leaving only shaky Marines (Crap!). and was felled by bolter fire from the Bike Squad not far behind (Double Crap!!!). He peppered the Scouts in the cover of the ruined walls killing three. Jas Lamenter Librarian cast Force Dome on his Sternguards answered back with a hail of bolter, missle launcher and lascannon from the Sternguards and Scout team. The 10 man marine squad quickly engage the bike squad at left. In the Assualt phases Sigis got the upper hand with the speed and with the Hit and Run tactics which was down right irritating since the enemy can be shot at on the next turn. The Blood Raven Commander engaged the Librarian (which failed to cast his Force Dome) in close combat as if declaring a challenge to a duel. The Librarian fell. On the 4th turn there were few Lamenters in the table too weak and far from any objective. This game goes to Sigis. A fast victory!

TAU vs WE Battle Report

BATTLE REPORT
April 1, 2009
Tau Gunline Army ( Sigis ) vs. WorldEaters ( Jas )
Army Build: 2000 points
Mission: Seize Ground - 3 Objectives
Deployment: Spearhead

Result: 2-0 Jas Wins

" Baptism of Blood"

Sigis's forces were all bunched up to support each other and opt not to move from chosen battleline.

Instead they waited patiently for the Khorne forces to enter their kill zone of their guns.
Jas on the otherhand, who's new to handling such army, strode forward and popping smoke and was eager to engage the Tau.
Like the Eldar that he was he utilized every available guns in the guise of the Chaos Marine Squad, and Defiler in his army and started picking on targets and fell a few. Sigis wouldn't give quarter to have Jas's debut a win.
With his Drone Squads he managed to almost wiped out the Raptor Squad with them ( such a drag for Jas ) leaving only the Aspiring Champion who stubbornly refuses to retreat.
Sigis managed to wound Kharn and the Daemon Prince with the pesky little things as well.
Kharn disposed of the bugs in one clean sweep but hid throughout the game from fire. He failed to put halt the advance due to the unlucky rolls with his Broadsides in the first few turns.
Jas was having the itch and was worrying that his Berserkers might not get grips with the enemy in CQB with all the Taus arsenal.
Sigis was practically letting all kinds of shots form lasers to missiles at all sides.
One lucky shot Jas's Land Raider and Rhinos will bog down.
As predicted in the 4th turn all transport jammed at the front door of the Tau battleline.
Few Berserkers took shots and run for cover of the wrecks to pervent further losses. Jas's Daemon Prince and Aspiring Champion flew out from cover and led the charge massacrering the Kroots to a man.
In the last remaining turn the Berserkers followed and broke into the heart of the Tau and engaged the Ethereal and his Bodyguards but failed to butcher them.
The Prince and Champion tag team further wiped out another Kroot squad leaving Sigis battered and weak to contest any objective.
It was a nice game. Jas was happy and was lured to the dark whispers of Chaos. Kharn didn't get much action the next time Jas would surely think for a way to get his hand bloody.
