HGR at RHGC HQ...

Start of Transmission...

September 1, 2006...

Lotsa people in attendance. Noteable among the HGR's would be shink1m, sigismund, midnight and myself. People got together to talk about the new cityfight rules as well as testing their armies against each other in city conditions. Among the Regulars in attendance, midnight and sigismund were able to play out a cityfight scenario.

I heard sigismund's Black Templar lost to omegatron's CSM, while midnight's Space Wolves went toe to toe with beefcake's Word Bearers and won. If you guys can comment any details especially the mission and highlights, I can quickly update it to the post. Thanks.

+++ Snipped from sigismund's account of the game:

our mission was take the flag... omega level... 1500pts...

my BT's were up against art's nightlords... 4 troops for me against his 6 (2 havocs, 2 troops, 2 FA's) we got to choose which strategem's to take...
the battle was intense as both sides try to take buildings and place flags on them... heavy weapons moving tapos hindi pa sila makabaril thru buildings...

art lost 2 raptor squads and some troops in the process...
i lost 2 squads of troops...

we ended up with the score 8-6, art having 8 flags against my 6 ones...

but upon the intervention of his excellency sir lito...

the score was finalize to 7-5 due to some contested areas on the table...

not bad after a hard days work... sabi nga nila, dapat 500 pts. lang para mabilis ang game... :)

Grub was in an abundance with chicken pansit and soda. kyuzo and midnight were obviously tired from work and travel as they only finished only four (4!) beers each during the course of the evening.

Heard they boyz stayed on well into the night to as late as 2am I think. This get-together is planned to be done on a more regular basis. Looks like my game against Jubay's Tau will happen soon enough. +P

End of Transmission...

updated the post to include's sigismund's batrep.

nice one sigis! at least you're starting to learn to go up against the likes of omegatron's csm and kept the fight close. for the game to last that long was testament enough.

pointage doesn't really matter and i still maintain that the games run faster at 2k coz the guns even out and the squads cancel each other much faster.

ang kailangan i-improve eh yung mga taong mabagal maglaro. :D

just my two cents. ;)

i'll still be unavailable this weekend. next week i can definitely play though. :P

our mission was to claim the table center (forgot the name) gamma level (infiltrate, night fight 1st and last turn) 1500 pts

deployment on opposite table quarters, no unit within 12" of center and 18" away from enemy unit. infiltrators/reserves allowed

khorne - predator annihilator, dreadnaught, bikers, chaos lord 2 units of 16 khorne berserkers and used sewer rats strategem with 3 exits placed around his left flank and 1 on my left flank.

SW - 2 predator destructors, vindicator, bloodclaws with wolf priest in rhino, greyhunters in razorback, bloodclaws with battle leader in 2nd rhino and 3 x 1 landspeeders HB/AC, wolf scouts and used ammo dump and power generator strategems

SW take turn 1, move bloodclaws and grey hunters, vindicator towards center while 2nd unit of bloodclaws move toward left flank. landspeeders dash forward to cover distance toward sewers. stunned the dreadnought

khorne bikers and lord move through forests and suffer no casualties (i'm in for a world of hurt)! lord immobilizes vindicator while bikers powerfist the rhino open spilling bloodclaws and priest out - fortunately no casualties :)

turn 2. 2nd rhino rushes to cover sewer on left flank and unit disembarks. grey hunters get on the rhino wreck. landspeeders rush to cover 2 sewers. scouts unable to reach last sewer and make for closest one instead. big mistake if those berserkers come out! ineffective shooting against bikers but managed to destroy the dreadnought :)

beefcake rolls for reserves and both fail!!! :) in surprise move ian splits his lord and goes after the pinned BC squad while bikers try to go after the 2nd BC squad. luck is with me, his predator manages to just stun 1 landspeeder while our close combat ends in draw

3rd turn. SW manage to cover all sewer exits and stun predator. grey hunters join in the fray and charge the lord who kills the wolf priest but eventually falls to the number of blows rained on him. biker squad also slowly whittled down to 1! razorback makes it to other side and cover a sewer exit freeing up another speeder

beefcake concedes the game knowing his reserves can't come out and the SW speeders are closing in on his predator.

armies with small numbers like khorne and my termies tend to know at which point we're already broken. :D

...sometimes though we play on for fun...
