TAU vs WE Battle Report

BATTLE REPORT
April 1, 2009
Tau Gunline Army ( Sigis ) vs. WorldEaters ( Jas )
Army Build: 2000 points
Mission: Seize Ground - 3 Objectives
Deployment: Spearhead

Result: 2-0 Jas Wins

" Baptism of Blood"

Sigis's forces were all bunched up to support each other and opt not to move from chosen battleline.

Instead they waited patiently for the Khorne forces to enter their kill zone of their guns.
Jas on the otherhand, who's new to handling such army, strode forward and popping smoke and was eager to engage the Tau.
Like the Eldar that he was he utilized every available guns in the guise of the Chaos Marine Squad, and Defiler in his army and started picking on targets and fell a few. Sigis wouldn't give quarter to have Jas's debut a win.
With his Drone Squads he managed to almost wiped out the Raptor Squad with them ( such a drag for Jas ) leaving only the Aspiring Champion who stubbornly refuses to retreat.
Sigis managed to wound Kharn and the Daemon Prince with the pesky little things as well.
Kharn disposed of the bugs in one clean sweep but hid throughout the game from fire. He failed to put halt the advance due to the unlucky rolls with his Broadsides in the first few turns.
Jas was having the itch and was worrying that his Berserkers might not get grips with the enemy in CQB with all the Taus arsenal.
Sigis was practically letting all kinds of shots form lasers to missiles at all sides.
One lucky shot Jas's Land Raider and Rhinos will bog down.
As predicted in the 4th turn all transport jammed at the front door of the Tau battleline.
Few Berserkers took shots and run for cover of the wrecks to pervent further losses. Jas's Daemon Prince and Aspiring Champion flew out from cover and led the charge massacrering the Kroots to a man.
In the last remaining turn the Berserkers followed and broke into the heart of the Tau and engaged the Ethereal and his Bodyguards but failed to butcher them.
The Prince and Champion tag team further wiped out another Kroot squad leaving Sigis battered and weak to contest any objective.
It was a nice game. Jas was happy and was lured to the dark whispers of Chaos. Kharn didn't get much action the next time Jas would surely think for a way to get his hand bloody.
